Throw in Bunta Sugawara as a badass trucker with a comic relief buddy, Norifumi Suzuki as a director and you get one hell of a hour and a half fist truck. Amazingly enough, according to the IMDB Convoy the movie came out after this did which is pretty fucking amazing because I know the Japanese don뭪 have white trash like we do here. I guess I뭠l just never understand, or probably ever meet, anyone from blue-collar Japan. But regardless, Shozo Hirono and his grimy-ass buddy drive around Japan in these ridiculous trucks with colored lights, stuff scavenged from American bases and murals of yen or Mt. Fuji painted on them, drinking and getting into fights with or racing other grimy-ass truckers, getting involved with gangsters, and trying to bang Junko Natsu. It뭩 basically a buddy-comedy, but it뭩 pretty over the top. You look at those pics down there and tell me that it matters if there뭩 a plot, this is just an awesome cornball spectacle from start to finish. I still just never thought I would ever come across a movie about truckers in Japan of all places.
